Da due anni non ho più scritto alla Paternità Vostra perché mi accorgeva, che ed Ella avea posto nel numero degli aspiranti alle missioni straniere il mio nome, che i padri nostri d’Albania, come mi scrivevano, aveami in varie lettere richiesto per compagno alla Paternità Nostra Molto Reverenda, e che non essendo ancora Sacerdote sarebbe stato inutile il tornar nella domanda. Trovandomi al presente per la divina grazia sacerdote, e non avendo altro legame che mi rattiene, se non che l’ultimo esame &lt;em&gt;de Universa&lt;/em&gt;, credo che sia ormai opportuno il far presente non essersi mai scemata nell’animo mio quella santa voce, che m’impone di consecrarmi tutto, se Iddio per bocca dei Superiori di tanto eccelso dono mi farà degno, a profondere le mie fatiche e i miei sudori, nel dirozzare l’incolto campo della gentilità, e far loro rilucere il sole de’ Giustizia.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

Confesso non esser io da tanto, né di quelle virtù fregiato che a tant’uopo richiedonsi, ma quel medesimo Iddio che mi muove a scrivere, sarà egli che mi compatirà grazia valevole da sostener il sublime incarico.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
