<p><span>Pieno di gratitudine scrivo questa volta a Vostra Paternità Molto Reverenda per ringraziarla ben di cuore tanto per le due copie della Vita del Ven<em>erabi</em>le Padre Pignatelli, come per la copia stampata della Lettera circolare di Vostra Paternità, diretta ai Padri, ed ai Fratelli della Compagnia, mentre Ella cerca in ogni modo d’infervorarci, e di spronarci alle sante Missioni. Questo Collegio è gratissimo alla bontà Sua, e meco si unisce in renderLe infinite grazie, ed a manifestarLe: più sinceri attestati della nostra pronta ubbidienza a qualuqnue sua destinazione.</span></p>
<p><span>Vengo in questo momento dalla Chiesa, dove ho ascoltato il discorso della Buona morte fatto dal Padre Sansoni, il quale ha predicato in modo da far frutto. La Chiesa era piena di popolo. Questa mattina si è cominciato a confessare alle dodici, e si è continuato sino a Mezzodì. Ho ricevuto un suo riscontro alla mia lettera d’informazione, ed ho molto contento, che Ella sia rimasta soddisfatta.
