Fratello Scolastico Francesco Saverio Fulconis.~ Molto Reverendo Padre in Cristo Pax Christi Non da propria mia inclinazione indotto, ma stimolato da interiore impulso del Signore mi fo animo di presentare a Vostra Paternità la presente supplica. Da parecchi anni mi sta fitto in cuore un gran desiderio di impiegare la mia vita a vantaggio di tante anime a noi straniere che non conoscono Gesù Cristo. Esaminato tal desiderio, e comunicatolo a chi mi dirigeva nello spirito fui confortato a coltivarlo. Mi ha poi persuaso che fosse dal Signore il sentirmi sempre per essa animato ad operare e patire volentieri quanto giornalmente mi si offeriva. Nè ho trascurato di chiedere con lagrime e penitenze lume e grazia alla Divina Bontà su tal punto. Tantochè trovandomi in cotesta città sono stato più d’una volta per gittarmi ai piedi di Vostra Paternità onde palesarle i miei sentimenti. Ora però conoscendo di non dover più resistere dal canto mio alla interna voce, dopo fatta orazione e consigliatomi di nuovo col Padre Spirituale mi rivolgo a Vostra Paternità perchè faccia di me quello che la Divina Bontà le inspirerà. Oh Padre! mi è testimonio Iddio che in questa dimanda non ho altro in mira che di testificare al nostro buon Capitano Gesù l’amor mio impiegandomi quanto sono e posso a farlo conoscere e amare dagli uomini, il tutto però per quelle vie e in quel modo, che egli per mezzo de’ Superiori si degnerà di manifestarmi. So che altri figli ben degni sospirano per questa stessa grazia, ed io non merito di essere ad essi paragonato; ma se Vostra Paternità in me non iscorge motivi da esaudirmi nel Cuore Santissimo di Gesù, pel quale la prego, e in cui voglio vivere e morire, troverà tesori infiniti di grazie dalle quali arricchito spero di riuscire non affatto indegno di eseguire la sua santissima volontà.
