<p><span>La domenica scorsa, cioè la prima del corrente, nell’atto che io celebrava la s<em>anta</em> Messa nella congregazione dei miei Contadini, fui sorpreso dalle lagrime e dal vivo desiderio di pregar Gesù Sacramentato a degnarsi d’inspirare a Vostra Paternità di mandarmi a Monte Libano, se ciò fosse di maggior gloria sua e del Padre Eterno. Pregai seriamente Nostro Redentore, e mi venne al cuore il pensiero di scrivere questa cosa alla Paternità Vostra lasciando a Lei tutto il pensiero. intorno alla mia persona. Io cercherò di acquistar una perfetta indiferenza; o a Dio, per mezzo della Paternità Vostra, piacerà o a Monte Libano.</span></p>
