Eccomi, o Padre; &lt;em&gt;paratum cor meum&lt;/em&gt;: preparato è il mio corpo agli stenti e fatiche, preparato è il mio spirito a’ disonori ed obbrobri, preparata è la mia vita alla morte; tutto me stesso offerisco in olocausto al mio Signore per la gloria del suo santo nome, e per la salvezza di quelle anime da lui redente. Spero che Sua Divina Maestà ricordandosi delle misericordie sue antiche voglia per la salvezza non meno di quel vasto impero, che a pro dell’anima mia, in odore di soavità ricevere l’offerta totale di questo indegno e miserabile suo servo. Segno di ciò saranno certamente i cenni della Paternità vostra, che come luogotenente di Dio accetti la mia offerta.
