<p><span>Non per replicare, nè per fare istanza; ma unicamente per sodisfare a me medesimo, rivolgo alla P<em>aternità</em> V<em>ostra</em> anche questa mia supplica. Dico per sodisfare a me medesimo: perchè se altra volta, come in occasione delle circolari di V<em>ostra</em>P<em>aternità </em>intorno al chiedere le missioni, mi sono sentito spinto a palesare alla medesima V<em>ostra</em> P<em>aternità</em> un qualche desiderio che Dio N<em>ostro</em> S<em>ignore</em> mi comunicava d’una vita simile all’Apostolica nelle missioni straniere; ora però mi ci sento non solo spinto ma, stetti per dire, ispirato; così che sopprimendo e differendo anche solo la manifestazione di tal mio desiderio, crederei assolutamente di mancare. Pronto però e rassegnato in tutto e per tutto nelle mani della V<em>ostra</em>P<em>aternità</em> dico anch’io, e credo di cuore, = <em>gyra et reversa me per circuitum, pone me ad dextram, pone ad sinistram, in manu tua sum </em>=. Comunque sia per accadere, desidero intanto di estirpare da me tutto ciò che potrebbe rendermi meno idoneo al compimento de’ voleri divini, cioè dell’ubbidienza, sopra di me; imploro caldamente d’aver qualche parte nelle preghiere di V<em>ostra</em> P<em>aternità </em>e ne’ S<em>uoi</em> S<em>anti</em> S<em>acrifici</em> e sono</span></p>
