<p><span>Ho dimandato al mio P<em>adre</em> Provinciale la grazia di valersi di me, quantunque il più indegno di questa provincia, per la missione di Grecia. Egli in termini chiarissimi mi ha già detto che, quanto è dalla parte sua, vuole accordarmela; anzi mi ha fatto animo principalmente allo studio della lingua, nella quale non sono poi gran fatto indietro: e Iddio sa con quale sollecitudine io stia ciò eseguendo. Ma poichè il tutto dipende dalla Paternità V<em>os</em>tra la prego ad avermi presente nella elezione che farà. Non mi stendo in parole, perchè non in esse, ma nella bontà del Signore ho riposta la mia speranza.
