<p>Giuseppe Maria Finotti prostrato a' piedi del M<em>olto</em> R<em>everendo</em> P<em>adre</em> Preposito Generale, rinova a Sua Paternità i suoi desiderî delle sante Missioni <em>in <span style="text-decoration: underline;">infidelibus</span>, </em>acciochè per questa attestazione sia fatta certo S<em>ua </em>P<em>aternità </em>che dura sempre la medesima volontà, la quale anzi in quest'anno fu dal rinovante sentita più forte degli anni strascorsi. Questo è il pensiero più dolce che si possa affacciare alla mente sua, e pensando alla virtù la quale si richiede in un vero missionante secondo lo spirito della Compagnia, che in fine è quello di G<em>esù </em>C<em>risto</em> [...] egli trova uno stimolo grandissimo ed efficacissimo a superare ogni difficoltà gli si venga attraversando, anzi ad ogni atto che gli tocchi di fare di vittoria di se stesso non ha miglior mezzo a vincersi, che paragonare il molto più che nelle missioni dovrà tolerare. Implorando la S<em>anta </em>benedizione del suo Padre generale, Gius<em>eppe </em>M<em>aria </em>Finotti ultimo de' suoi figli augura a S<em>ua </em>P<em>aternità </em>ogni bene del glorioso Missionario San Gio<em>van</em> Franc<em>esc</em>o Regis nel cui giorno ha scritto <em>positis lumi genibus</em>questa supplica.
