&lt;p&gt;Perdoni Vostra Paternità se tra le tante occupazioni di maggiore importanza da cui è continuamente occupata, lo distragga per un momento con questa mia. Non avrei mai creduto di ciò fare, se la bontà di Vostra Paternità non m'ispirasse la piena confidenza, ed un incontro favorevole non mi presentasse l'occasione. Primieramente auguro a Vostra Paternità con tutto il cuore in occasione delle prossime feste Natalizie e del principio dell'anno tutte le felicità, che saprà desiderare e per se e per tutta la Compagnia. Pregherò il Santo Bambino che lo esaudisca e pienamente compisca i voti di Vostra Paternità. In secondo luogo sono a rinnovarle la memoria, che continuo ne' desideri altre volte esposti d'andare in qualunque aspra missione straniera, che l'ubbidienza mi vorrà assegnare. Che se per sorte Vostra Paternità si trovasse obbligata a fare interrompere gli studi, o privare la provincia di qualche soggetto di buona riuscita per fornire qualche regione lontana o selvatica, eccomi quà, Padre mio, pronto a togliere Vostra Paternità di pensiero, e sgravare la provincia d'un peso inutile. Mi giova sperare che questa volta il Santo Bambino e san Francesco Xaverio m'esaudiscano.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Ho il bene d'annunziare a Vostra Paternità che tanto io quanto tutti di questa comunità stiamo bene in salute, tranne il Padre Mossi che attualmente trovasi a letto per indisposizione sopraggiuntagli.
