<p>L'occasione del trovarsi costì a Roma un missionario della Cina nostro Padre mi spinge dietro il consiglio del mio attuale P<em>adre </em>Rettore a rinnovare a V<em>ostra</em> P<em>aternità </em>quelle istanze, che il Signore mi mise in cuore di fare al M<em>olto</em> R<em>everendo</em> P<em>adre</em> Generale di felice memoria, e sono (se pur non le confondo con quelle fatte al R<em>everendo</em> P<em>adre</em> Provinciale Fava) che se alcun Padre partisse per quelle missioni (delle Indie o della Cina) non isdegnasse di mandarmi con lui, ed esposto le mie qualità di corpo e de' studii fatti, a cui ora aggiungo l'ordinazione del Suddiaconato che testè per divina grazia ho ricevuta, supplicava di essere o F<em>ratello</em> Coadiutore, o Catechista o qualunque altra cosa in cui avesse voluto mi prestassi, chè troppo io sento questa voce che ancor nel secolo stando in Seminario mi gridava "va alle missioni" Eccomi M<em>olto</em> R<em>everendo</em> P<em>adre</em> Generale le suppliche d'un suo amantissimo figlio in G<em>esù</em> C<em>risto</em>, ecco l'occasione la più favorevole della partenza, l'accennato Padre, che fra breve come penso tornerà alla Cina. Prego che quel medesimo che accese l'animo mio illumini V<em>ostra</em> P<em>aternità </em>al desiderato fine se sia per essere di maggior gloria di Dio.
