<p>Già prima che mi determinassi d'entrare in Religione mi sentii in cuore desiderio di impiegarmi nelle Missioni di quelle povere anime, che menando vita a guisa di fiere, non hanno il bene di conoscere Gesù Cristo. Venutemi alle mani le vite di alcuni nostri Padri Missionari, ed osservando io come alla Compagnia comparte il Signore in modo speciale la grazia di operare fra queste genti la sua gloria, ho scelto la Compagnia a preferenza di ogni altra Religione sulla speranza che un giorno avrei più facilmente potuto mandar ad esecuzione questi miei voti. Entrato nella Compagnia questa brama anzichè scemare mi sì accrebbe sempre più: il perchè ora mi sento spinto di manifestare a Vostra Paternità Molto R<em>everen</em>da questo mio pensiero, offerendomi fin da questo momento per qualsivoglia parte del mondo ove sieno infedeli da istruire, pronto a qualsiasi Missione in qualunque ora me ne giunga un minimo cenno.
