Facendosi da me la Novena tanto celebre della grazia a San Francesco Saverio per ottenere le Missioni, nel principio de' 9 giorni fui trasportato da affetto non sò come dirlo, che chiesi la missione particolarissimamente del // Giappone, e questo senza averne mai letto o sentito parlare se non di passaggio; e con ciò una tal certezza d'aver ricevuta la grazia, e un tal affetto verso il Padre mio dolcissimo San Francesco Saverio primo Apostolo del Giappone che credo non potersi a parole esprimere. E non è forse un segno manifestissimo della grazia ricevuta l'essersi agevolata, come ho sentito dire, la strada a quel Regno?
