&lt;p&gt;Il primo è l'aver letto che non pochi sebbene novizï furono inviati alle missioni. E questo solo a mio credere sarebbe sufficiente, perchè forse "&lt;em&gt;abreviata est manus Domini&lt;/em&gt;? è non è vero che" &lt;em&gt;Non est impossibile apud Deum omne verbum&lt;/em&gt;?&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Il secondo è l'aver ancora letto che innumerabili replicarono suppliche e prieghi per essere inviati alle Missioni moltissime volte.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Per intendere il terzo e principalissimo, bisogna prender più d'alto, e non credo che sarà al tutto inutile raccontare ogni cosa. Facendosi da me la Novena tanto celebre della grazia a S&lt;em&gt;an&lt;/em&gt; Francesco Saverio per ottenere le Missioni, nel principio de' 9 giorni fui trasportato da affetto non sò come dirlo, che chiesi la missione particolarissimamente del&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;//&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Giappone, e questo senza averne mai letto o sentito parlare se non di passaggio; e con ciò una tal certezza d'aver ricevuta la grazia, e un tal affetto verso il Padre mio dolcissimo S&lt;em&gt;an&lt;/em&gt; Francesco Saverio primo Apostolo del Giappone che credo non potersi a parole esprimere. E non è forse un segno manifestissimo della grazia ricevuta l'essersi agevolata, come ho sentito dire, la strada a quel Regno?&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Padre mio M&lt;em&gt;olto&lt;/em&gt; R&lt;em&gt;everendo&amp;nbsp;&lt;/em&gt;mi conceda questa grazia, se cosi è voler di Dio, mi dia licenza, mi comandi di andare a seguitare le sanguinose pedate del mio amatissimo e tenerissimo Padre del Giappone.
