<p>Dopo aver avuta jeri la sorte di poter fare i santi voti semplici, nel momento stesso che sto per partire da questo santo luogo per recarmi a Brescia, credo ben fatto di scrivere alla P<em>aternità</em> V<em>ostra</em> M<em>olto</em> R<em>everenda</em> per rinnovare le mie preghiere per le Missioni estere. A questo fine Le ripeterò quello che già Le scrissi l'anno scorso, che cioè questo mio desiderio, che vado coltivando fino dall'undecim'anno di mia età, mi porta a preferire tra le missioni stesse le più difficili e pericolose. E benchè l'esperienza della mia fiacchezza mi dovrebbe far perdere di animo, pure mi sento al tutto rinfrancare colla confidenza nella grazia di Dio, la quale non manca a chi da Lui stesso sia mandato. Affinchè poi in questo fatto possa esser sicuro del beneplacito di Sua Divina Maestà, mi rimetto (come già dissi anche l'anno scorso) interissimamente alla volontà di V<em>ostra </em>P<em>aternità</em> M<em>olto</em> R<em>everenda</em> non solo per quanto riguarda il luogo ed il modo della missione, ma anche per quanto al mandarmivi si o no: mentre mi protesto di voler essere sempre contento, anzi bramoso di fare non la mia, ma la volontà unicamente de' miei Superiori.
